No the cabin harness doesn not need to be changed.
What you will need to do is wire up vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure and knock sensor.
Since the car is obd2v1 and the motor is a obd2v2 you will need a ecu conversion harness.
You can get one from http://www.ecuadapters.com

Re: Vtec engine swap to NonVtec & Harness questions?? (JDMjames)
Thanks bro but it's actually the other way around
my current car is OBD2B and the engine i am going to swap in is OBD2A
so the cabin harness aside
the OBD2A engine i am about to swap in comes with everything and OBD2A engine harness and guess the only thing i will need to do to make it work is either run OBD1 p28 ECU with harness which i have the OBD2B to OBD1 harness right now or i can get OBD2B to OBD2A harness and run the OBD2A ecu i have.
thanks~

Yeah what you said will work. But if you are gonan run the obd1 ecu, your injectors shoudl be switched to obd1 as well.
