GSR Spoiler on a 94 Civic
Alright, so I happened to come upon this very nice GSR spoiler from Jun1or. Nice guy, only wanted $5 for it. In this condition, that's a steal and a half. Many thanks.
So, I've been wondering how I might mount this to my civic. The spoiler's a dark green/black, and the car's red. Luckily, it doesn't look too bad on there. But, it is a tad bit wide. I've been thinking of putting screw holes in the trunk where a normal 4dr spoiler would go, then increasing the length between the holes by using a sturdy sheet of metal on top of the trunk that extends out to either side, and screwing the spoiler into that. At least that's all I can think of. I'm sure there's other ways, perhaps less messy than that.
But here's some pictures so you can get the right idea.

You want to mount that thing on your car? Are you nuts? If you really want that on your car, your best bet is getting some custom L brackets to mount it from inside your trunk to the inside part of the spoiler.
PS. How far is Manitowoc from Milwaukee?

yo shut up guys, this is a valid question, and an interesting customization.
Ok, what id do:
take off the bolts overhanging the side. Get some bondo and patch that. Then your gonna have to mount it to the trunk. Your trunk will look messy under where this mounts, but get some aluminum, make yourself a stencil, and get some bolts to figure how to mount it. when you get it positioned, drill some holes under the trunk. lay the spoiler on it, and see where the bolts are. Make your bracket (with aluminum, you dont need heavy machinery to shape it) and then fit those holes in the spoiler to the bracket. if they dont line up, get a tap and die set, and make some inserts into the GSR spoiler where it can bolt to your brackets.

Re: GSR Spoiler on a 94 Civic (Redline96LX)
ok what i'd do: sell this spoiler to somebody who has an integra and wants/needs a new spoiler and buy the civic ferio spoiler for 190 off of http://www.jdmland.com. Just my opinion though
it will look totaly out of place and completely ruine your perfectly good trunk

Thanks for the replies, guys. I've been thinking that it would look very, very nice, but it may not be the right thing to do. If I can find some people around town that can help me out with this and do it like Redline said, I will. Because you guys should see this thing - it's NICE on there.
But, otherwise, I have a dark, dark grn/black teg spoiler for sale... and looking to trade for something that'll fit on my 4dr! :D
Oh, and Milwaukee's about an hour away from Manitowoc.

Re: GSR Spoiler on a 94 Civic (omega02379)
that will look retarded!! almost as retarded as your "new" civic emblem
you should get a wing that will atleast match your body kit and neons

Re: (Sottilde)
i don't have any real thoughts on how it could be accomplished, but i myself have always wondered what that wing would look like on an EG8. since that one won't work, maybe look into the factory wing from a '96-'98 ferio? that's another one that i like cause it's nice and low.
