gsr motor in 99 civic ex wont start
ok it gets power and then when i try to start it the starter pops like its going to start but then it loses all power and i tried hooking it up to another car but still it does the same thing and it sounds like there is a sputter under the dash on the passanger side when i turn my lights on and off can anyone help asap thank you.......

you mos definetly got some starter wiring screwed up or the starter has just died.
Is this thing recently swapped in?

Did you attach both grounds-- the one from the valve cover to the radiator support and the one from the tranny to the unibody?

actually i figured it out thanks guys and quick chris just so you know there is actually three grounds one from the valve cover one from the tranny and one from the wiring harness itself that bolts onto the thermostat housing....just a fyi...so its not did you ground both grounds its did you ground all three grounds......

is your ignitor inside the distributor still good? check the wiring to your distributor and make sure its wired up right, haynes manuals work wonders.

yeah, i agree with him...check the ignitor too...it's only gonna get worst, and they're known to go bad.
