Default GSR master and booster swap?

anyone know anything about this? i hear it is a direct bolt on to an EG hatch dx, and i hear others that say it won't work, and to get an RS one...

i scored the gsr master and booster combined for 50 bucks, so i'd like to use this if at all possible.
anyone have a pointer?

also, this will be going on a wilwood 4-piston 11" front end and 11" rear disc (with weaker pads/oem-style calipers) in the rear.

is the 91 ex master/stock booster the way to do this?
or should i try to get this to work with the gsr stuff i have?

Worst case, you need to change the fitting size at the mc to abs ones and reflare the hardline = not hard.

If there isnt anything wrong with the dc unit, Id use it. I mean, you already own it...

The Integra MC and booster will work. The only difference vs. the '90-91 EX MC is that you'll have to re-flare one of the lines to use the Integra MC. You also need to swap the booster, so that'll be a bit more work than just swapping the MC.

Since you already have the Integra stuff, I'd just work with that . . . unless you really want to spend more money to pick up a '90-91 EX MC.

i'm not too concerned about the money... i can always sell the gsr master/booster that i have anyway. i just want it to work....
reflaring hardlines is not appealing to me-- i wouldn't even know where to begin, and probably end up kinking the line.

what about the wilwood 1" master.

it looks like the ports are on the fender-side of the unit... look close? anyone use this?

If you use a spring type bender you wont have any problems
Hell, I did most of my work by hand. You just need to be careful.
There is also a reflaring how-to link in the mc/bb how-to I wrote.....somewhere on there anyways.

If the wilwood piece has them on the outside you'll still have to bend the lines.

just ordered a remanu from autozone...
autozone part number is M52517

45 bucks plus 45 for the core... under 100 shipped 1-day (local store didin't have it in stock anyway). can't complain. i can off my gsr set up for 50 bucks im sure... so i come out even

the more i think about it, the more i think im going to keep my stock 4030 ppv in there.... my rear brakes are pretty strong-- probably over kill. i have a DA 4040, but i don't think im going to put it on... give my fronts more juice.

thoughts?

Wondered if someone could help me out real quick. I have my brake swap almost done. 1" GSR into 92 civic CX. all i have left to do is to put the 40/40 prop vlave in and bend and re-flare the one line with the larger fitting. What i need to know is which line do i bend and re-flare. in which position does it attatch to the prop vlave?

Thank You

Not totally true certain years of the GS and GSR (at least in canada) are 1" they just have a smaller resivor. I think the 95 Legend has the same Acura part number as a type R MC. If not 95 one of those years, but it had to be the manual version. As for the flaring its pretty obvious your old fitting will be to small. I just did a Type R MC booster swap in my EG. Went smooth.
