thats the power booster.
You don't need to swap that for master cylinders...unless your bolt pattern is different.
But there are 4 nuts inside the dash on the inside of the firewall that must be removed.
Disconnect it from the brake pedal, and it will slide right out

Thats only if your going no abs to a abs mc.
Dont relie on things you read on the internet,
its usually a bunch of ****.
If you already have a mc, why get another one?
re-flaring lines isnt worth a extra 1xx$ in my
opinion, but if you want a non-abs mc I have
two for sale, but you will have to change your booster
with them, since they are from rhd civics and integras.

yeah most often you don't need to change the brake booster. hit up http://www.slhondaparts.com or http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org and check the part numbers to see if you're wasting your time.

i'm not sure if your situation is different than mine, but i'm using a '99 gsr mc and booster (abs) on my '95 dx civic hatchback. I didn't have to reflare the lines, but I did have to bend them, which wasn't bad to do at all.
Also, just a note if you do end up swapping out the booster. You should take off the clevis (the u shaped thing that is held to the brake pedal with a pin). It will get you almost an extra inch of clearance, which helped out a great deal for me. You're also going to want to readjust the brake pedal height after you do that, so the brake light will come on at the appropriate times.
