grinds when shifting into 3rd and 5th???

grinds when shifting into 3rd and 5th???
So i have a 93 del sol with a b16 block and a dohc head
well the tranny when shifting grinds when you put it in to gear in 3rd and 5th it grinds.
what does this mean
what is going out in the tranny
is this an easy fix
should i get a a whole new tranny or get this one fixed
please help me out

all of my hondas have done this at higher rpm's... My d16 you do it going into 2nd gear near red line and my k20 does it going into 3rd in the higher rpm band. Try changing the trans fluid to see if that helps. I personally just live with it.

eewww...not mine. to the op, yeah try changing the fluid, if that doesn't help, it's probably the syncros.

fluid may be low and try syncromesh as for getting it fixed is about the same for a new tranny so
