The Green Machine is going on a diet...help please.
as the topic says, i'm putting my 92dx on a diet.
i am removing the front/rear bumper supports tomorrow...and getting dry ice to remove the sound deadoning...
in addition, i'm removing the rear interior completely...
can you guys suggest some other ways to lighten the car...
here is what i also have planned...
*jdm steering wheel without airbag
*lightweight battery
*del sol front seats (already installed)
*no rear interior
*carbon fiber hood
what else can i remove, while keeping the car daily driveable and comfortable in the florida heat...as i'm keeping the air conditioning.
thanks for the suggestions...

Your rear speakers. Something small but if the balance is towards the front, you wont need them anyway.
Edit: I guess those would count as rear interior though.

i guess if you are taking out the interior you can try to remove the glove box and maybe the wiper fluid reservior. ?

i want to make my car lighter so its faster....both auto-x and at the track.
the ce28n's are gone...as 15inch tires were too ******* heavy.
i know have hx wheels with yokohama's for daily driving...will be getting some 13 x 8's for auto-x, track.
i have hondata, 310cc injectors on the way...have spoon sprockets that need to be installed...
i'm hoping for 185whp weighing 200lbs less than i weigh right now...
i want 13.2's @ 106+ on drag radials...all motor.

i just removed the bumper supports, rear interior and spare tire...
and with the del sol seats, i think the car is 75-100lbs lighter...
and what a difference, after driving the car from 20mph-110mph 5 or 6 times the car is noticeably faster...nothing dramatic...but enough to make it all worthwhile.
