Default got my b18c1 today

so i picked up the complete swap today i got it for 2500
engine, trans,ecu,axles,linkaage,mounts

im putting it in this weekend but i have some questions

im putting on a skunk2 manifold before i put it in the car (put one on my bros car it was kind of a pain) so i decided that this would be my first mod besides my CAI and im gettin a jdm 4-1 header

what i wanted to know was do i need to use a different throttle cable or will the one from my hatch work with the skunk intake

also the motor is an obd2, i have a 95 gsr ecu already but is there any wiring i have to do
i plan on using the harnsess from my d16z6

also where can i buy a skunk2 manifold by friday
used or new

thanks in advanced

hey i heard if you switch intake manifolds you have to get your ecu chipped to make it a single runner, since the stock gsr ecu will look for the secondaries to open. good luck in the swap. what car is it going into?

u need the b16/type r throttle cable, b16/type r cable bracket, and the throttle body. i just did mine without any of those, and it worked fine. the gsr cable bracket may hit the hood though, not sure on urs. as for the ecu, get the sohc vtec ecu and rechip it to dohc specs. the gsr one is still good, and it wont throw codes for the butterflies, but the p28 is better suited if u have the skunk manifold. i have the skunk in my car, and im running a p28 mugen spec.

i think u would be fine useing your stock cable, if for some reason theres a problem then just find a B16 cable. chipping your ecu its not neccesary, you mightthrow a code for the secodaries but what does it matter u dont have them. when u get done could u post pics and your opinion? im deciding between the skunk2 or JG manifold.....

BTW anyone know what i should use to remove the intake manifold gasket? mine is stuck to the head

u wont throw any codes for the secondaries. and chipping is necessary since the ecu will think there are secondaries to open, and it will dump fuel at 5700. u need to get the fuel curves corrected for it to run smoothly. preferably type r fuel maps.

as for the gasket, go to pepboys/autozone/kragen get gasket remover, and spray on. let sit and go at it with a razor blade.
