Goodbye 97 Civic Turbo Dx Coupe R.I.P.
i got into a minor accident 2 weekends ago, slid off the road during a heavy snow on some ice into a big rock, car didn't seem too badly damaged, just some mangled metal. had a body shop come pick it up last night and they informed me today that its totaled, bent the entire right frame rail the guy said, and since i was paying out of pocket instead of going through insurance, it is gonna be around 8k-10k to fix

is that 3k through insurance, or 3k out of pocket? some body shops only like to deal with insurance i found in my search for a place to fix it, my friend josh said i should get a 2nd opinion, but i really dont care. i'll see what my dad says and go from there.

turbo is a-ok, it didnt even get touched except theres a small ding in the down pipe from the lower radiator support banging into it, doubt it will effect flow or anything. i have a ad up in the FI classifieds for it

i was thinking the same thing, always get more than one estimate, just like getting a 2nd opinion from a doctor.

really i dont care about another opinion, before the accident i was planning on selling it cause im downright just bored of my honda. i did all i wanted to it and it just drained my cash too much.
im mentally going through everything on the car i have to strip off and put my stock **** back on
y8 intake manifold
greddy evo catback
red/white tails
driver and pass. seats
bezel
speedo
armrest
etc....
rotors arent worth taking off right?
anyone need a new pair of ebc brake pads? havent been installed yet :/
