Default Good Swap for an EG8?

My girlfriend has a '94 LX and the engine is pretty much shot. I figure if I'm going to replace it anyway, I may as well get a good one, but I'm not really sure what my options are.

I'll probably just pay a local mechanic to do the swap, so I want something which will pretty much bolt directly in. I imagine a D16Z6 would. How about a D16Y8? The D17A2 appears comparatively cheap and plentiful. Would any or all of these require a transmission change? New axles? Any other stuff a noob like myself isn't even considering?

What's a good site for finding cheap, reliable engines?

Will that mate to the transmission from the D15B7? What about a Y8? Those seem more plentiful on autopartsfair.com. Should I be looking somewhere else?

y8 will require a full obd2 change over with new ecu and a conversion harness, just get a z6 and a p28 and call it a day, yes everthing will work with the z6, your axles tranny ect.

get a k20....easiest Honda swap around.

no I'd say just get a replacement z6 that way you're not dealing with obd1 to obd2 etc

Okay, z6 it is then. Will I also need to change the engine harness?
