Good or bad deal? $295 for Z6 engine, grinding tranny, ecu, harness
I'm wondering if this deal I landed was good or not. Through negotiating with the grinding tranny, I was refunded some money and the total out of my pocket came out to be $295 for the whole swap into an 5th gen with that grinding tranny. Swap has around 70K on it and is from a 94. Had small extras like a adjustable cam gear and polish valve cover. Did I end up ok?

i'd say thats not bad at all , but the grinding tranny could have brought the swap a little more . Overall good buy.

how bad is the grind and into what gear?? MY tranny's been grinding into 3rd for 2 years now. I just shift slow into third around town and hard on the track. It's working fine for me. I need to change the MTF, but Ill get a new tranny after I drope in my new block.

Good deal even Without a tranny. So what if it's toast. I'm sure you be able to find a replacement for cheap
