getting new motor need some info
someone is going to give me a b18 motor for free. what I need to know is what else will I need to make this swap. He is just giving me the motor. Please let me know.

If your JUST getting the motor, then your going to need...
-Mounts (B series, 3 of them passenger side, read, driver side).
-ECU (You said b18 motor, give us the rest of the motor code and we'll tell you what ECU you'll need).
-Tranny (any B series tranny will work,along with all of the tranny parts: clutch, flywheel, linkage, etc)
Wiring harness (so you can make everything work mechanically).
Other parts like, starter, alternator, water pump, fuel pump, etc.
What b18 motor is it? b18a1, b18c, b18c5
?
-Mounts (B series, 3 of them passenger side, read, driver side).
-ECU (You said b18 motor, give us the rest of the motor code and we'll tell you what ECU you'll need).

Yeah, with all the stolen car threads these days, you may want to make sure it's not hot.

its gonna be a b18c and its not stolen my friend owns a shop and some dude is gettin rid of his car so my friend is gonna take it from him and give me the motor.

If the motor came with axels, you can use those. If not, just get B series axels.

That's a $3000 motor, either it's blown (or something majorly wrong with it) or it's hot, OR he's just telling us he got it for free so we'll all be jealous. People just don't hand out those motors.

Whatever the case, he asked a question and were stating that his motor is stolen, in actuallity, it may not be. Let's just try to answer the questions that he asked us.

yeah, i would def make sure though. Either way, he's got to give us more info if he wants a complete list anyways. Like year of car, year of engine, etc...

-3 B series motor mounts
-Tranny (with all the nessacary tranny parts)
-Wiring Harness
-P72 ECU
-Axels (If you already don't have them)
-Electrical parts (dizzy, alternator, starter, etc).
