getting bad mileage..
since ive owned my 92 civic si in jan. i havent gotten over 350km per tank
people say i should be getting like 450 km
i recently got a jdm d15b put in the car, replaced the plugs, and fuel filter, along with all my fluids, and fuel injector cleanerr.
the wires and distributor cap were from the d15b when i bought it, but were in good condition.
now, i still have some stuff that should be replaced to up mileage like my bald front tires (camber wear), and my air filter (reusable cone filter).
im getting the tires replaced tomorrow with falken azenis, so this is a step up, and then my air filter will be switched to a much nicer k&n filter.
do you guys think this will help out my mileage? also, i use 89 octane rated gas. should i be using higher or lower (87 or 91 - 94)???

i have a del sol b16, 10 gallon tank. I get between 240-300 miles to a tank depending on conditions. You will get slightly better mileage using a higher octane, but i dont think it will be very noticeable.

A new o2 sensor can fix the problem. When I had my EK, I got around 300 miles to the tank. When I switched out the o2 and put the stock intake back on, it was 350+ per tank easily on 89 octane. I'm not sure what might be the problem in your case.

That's what I was going to say. New o2.

my JDM d15B with JDM P08 ecu ==> 450-550km on 36L of gas (tank)
while running the P28 you'll get about 30-80km less on a tank.
as far as gas run 87 only there is no need for anything else. if you use 91+ octane you'll only be quicker as your wallet will be lighter.
as far as falken azenis they are good tire but extremely heavy for the size, you may see some drop in the mileage.
some things to read:
