Default HELP needed ASAP, Gearbox Noise, what could it be?

Hi, i have a ITR box and recently fitted a new clutch and flywheel, the ITR box replaces a shot B16 one. After a 1k miles a noise has started, a very loud ticking sound when the car is idleing with my foot off the clutch pedal.

When i put my foot on the clutch pedal the noise goes away. I was told this is not the clutch release bearing but the mainshaft bearings. I have been told this from a firm who make Honda race cars. I was also told by two other Honda specialist that it was 90% chance the release bearing.

As you can imagine i am very confused to which part i need to replace. I have taken the box off and stripped it down. I cannot see anything wrong with the internal bearings. The release bearing is 1k miles old.

The noise only happens when the car is standing still with my foot off the clutch pedal, Their is no noise when a gear is engaged and moving. The box does not whine or crunch, just a loud ticking sound on idle.

Anyone got any pointer or a fix

thanks sam
