what is the average miles per tank of gas on a 97 civic while in floppy mode(limp mode) does about 190 miles sound about like normal?

My 98' DX got almost 400 miles every tank in limp mode, about 310 otherwise.

wow..... im getting **** gas milegae.... i think my tripometer is at like 190 an im running on fumes.... but even when i wasnt in limp mode only got about 300 miles to the tank....

my 99 ex averages 30 mpg per tank (roughly 350 total) -- 25 when i'm getting on it a lot around town, and almost 40 on the highway. mods are intake, header, hi flow cat, catback exhaust.

What are the CELs you are getting?

I got 28mpg with no o2 sensors in b16 swapped ek.

well i got the dx ecu in there right now but when i had the ex it wa pulling a TPS, 2 emissions codes P0450, and P0453.... are they knock Cels... and then a air temp sensor.... the tps an air temp sensors i no whats throwing them... just have no clue about the other 2

are you really surprised you're getting shitty milrage with the wrong ECU,and in limp mode?!fix what's wrong with your car if you're that concerned over it.

i don't think anybody would know that figure-limp HOME mode is a safe mode to allow you to get your car somewhere to fix whatever's wrong with it-not drive around on.

well i got the dx ecu in there for now becuase it runs better with it in there..

i don't know what to tell you other than get the correct ECU and fix any codes if you're worried about gas mileage.aside from that,it's probably in your best interest overall to fix the car-i've heard of people running way too rich(which you obviously are)and washing the cylinder walls,leading to bottom end damage.
what you're asking is no different than "my car has a hole in the gas tank and i'm getting horrible milege because of it,how can i get better mileage?"
