Ninja edit. ^^^ beat me to the theft theory.
Did someone steal your gas? That thing would have to be blowing horrendous black smoke and running terribly to get that mileage by burning the fuel.

The only reason i say leaks is because at the gas station yesterday, i had to wait behind someone. I saw them filling up and as they were filling i saw a slow trickle coming exactly from the gas tank location haha.

Re: gas guzzeler need help plz
my '69 f-100 V8 got better gas mileage than that... not by much... but a little. definitely look into a leak, or you are dumping somewhere, a d16z6 should be getting anywhere from 30-40 mpg depending on how you drive it, chipped maybe a touch less. Do you smell gas all the time when you are driving or when you go to your car in the morning? I know in my car if I just overfill the tank a little and a touch leaks out the cap before I can close it I can smell it for 10 minutes even on the highway with the windows open. Are you firing on all 4 cylinders?

Your plugs would foul if it was running rich enough to be burning 6mpg. You either have a leak or someone is stealing your gas. I don't think a vapor leak would cause your gas to evap that quick either (via say a bad gas cap or whatnot).

Put a LOCKING gas cap on the biotch and see if your gas "milage" improves, because I honestly dont see how that motor could even run properly if it were that rich.
