Default Gapless spark plugs?

Ok so I needed some new plugs and so I went and picked up some Bosch platinum 4s. Now these are a gapless plug meaning I dont have to gap them. I put them in and my car kinda sputters at idle and seems to miss every once in awhile. I am beginning to think that gapless plugs are garbage. Can anybody share some insight on this? If so, what plugs do u guys recommend? These are for my daily driver and the mods on this car are minimal.... so what should I do?

Return them, get ngk coppers and gap those properly.

Problem solved.

That gapless bs is exactly that, bs.

You're not getting a "better spark" with those plugs, you won't benefit from $40 in spark plugs.

If you can't get a refund from the store, fill out the refund form to Bosch:

Yeah, get the NGK coppers.

Not to get in a pissing match over what plugs to run. The plus 4 platinum are one of the only plug that I am able to keep for more then 10k in my car. For some reason every other plug brakes down around the ceramic and the base and starts arcing and making the car miss. Yes I have tried them all (OEM,all kinds of bosch, even split fire) in hopes of running something that would hold up. I have also seen these plugs make cars run like crap and have changed them back to stock or any other plug and the cars run great. Run what works for your car the any gains you see from a plug on a dd are not going to be much

That's like saying everyone in the world should wear size 12 shoes.

Next time, get the right part for your car.

Yeah, and I didn't see NGK in that list of "tried ems" either. You can call or email NGK and give them your specs and they will tell you down to the gap what plug style to run. Im turbo now, and it made my car run like a dream going to a different plug with different insulator/heat strap and gap. Give NGK a call, and buy what they say, for less than $20 you'll have something that works perfect, guaranteed.
