Default fuel sending unit or fuel pump itself? d16z6

95 hatch d16z6 170k i need to know what you guys think. When i drive down the road and ease of the gas the car stumbles like a motorcycle running out of gas, but when i push the accelerator down it stops. Everything on the fuel system is relatively new except the fuel pump and sending unit. They sell them seperately and i'm low on funds atm. Which do you guys think it could be?

Sending unit only reflects the amount of fuel in the tank and sends a signal to the fuel gauge. If you need a pump pm me.

+1, or even fuel filter could be dirty (unless you changed it recently as well). If so, was it really dirty fuel coming out??

you are supposed to change the fuel filter every 30,000 or something like that. i change mine every year with the coolant and tranny oil. got an extra fuel pump if you need it. OEM obd 2 out of a 97 ek. i'm using a walbro 255lph. they are only like 80$ and east to install.......at least when you are gutted.

Hope it turns out for you, I've got the OEM fuel pump from my D16Z6 sitting on a shelf if you want.
