By si do you mean the 92-95 or the 99-00? He should upgrade to the 99-00 Si, 94+ GSR, or Type R pump. They flow considerably more than the D-series pump.

For a B16 motor, the DX fuel pump is just fine. He can get a different fuel filter to help clean up the flow of the system and also get a fuel pressure regulator for the fuel rail, but the volume needed to push the B16 doesn't require a change of the fuel pump. When you go to a large motor that uses 300+ cc injectors (like a H22 or high comp LS/VTEC or B20-VTEC) or go forced induction (NOS, turbo, SC), then you want more fuel volume pushing into the motor. But for an all motor application like a stock B16A, the stock fuel pump will work just fine. If you want to upgrade the fuel pump, Walbro is a good choice and they're pretty cheap now.

the dx should be okay i ran a b16a in my dx for over a year. but a dohc vtec pump would be better. you dont need a 255lph walbro or holley, youll drown your motor. get one from dohc vtec del sol, 99-00si, gsr or type r.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Gapxguy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Stock CIVIC fuel pumps.....doesn't matter what Civic have 79 LPH fuel pumps, and the same goes with the Integra LS.
Now, the VTEC DOHC's have a 135 LPH fuel pump. SI, GSR, Type R.</TD></TR></TABLE>

If you keep the stock fuel pump get an adjustable FPR.

I dont have any kind of dyno numbers to back me up on this but i have track times that do. The first time at the track with my b16 powered hatch with a stock cx 79 LPH pump, I got consistent 15.8. A week later I installed a gsr 139 LPH pump and my first run at the track got me a 15.6. So it seems as though there was a signicicant difference. It might be that i got better driving but i dont know.
