the car was stored all winter long and I started it for the fisrt time this week end, when I first turned the key the engine seemed ok and was on cold fast idle, but as soon as I hit the gas a bit it bogged down and stalled. whenever i put the key at ON position now, I hear the pump priming and after that I hear a hum for approximatly 5 second and after the hum I hear a clicking sound that goes faster and faster, i removed the key. everytime it does the same thing, btw the check engine light stays on. I opened the hood and did put the key on ON postion, the clicking sound seems to come from the injectors, and you can feel on the hosethat goes to the feul filter that fuel is pumping (the key is only on ON the engine is not started) it smeels gas alot and there is also unburnt fuel that appeared on the exhaust manifold, just where it joins with the motor.

what could be the probable cause???

cause main relays are common problem on civics, and they control the fuel pump, but like i said its just a guess
