Fuel Filter

I feel like such a noob asking this but i recently bought an inline fuel filter for my ej8 and i just wanna make sure , theres an arrow on the filter that says flow the arrow indicates the side that goes to the fuel rail since its the fuel feed line right?

yeah flow is coming from the gas tank to the rail.
other words if yo uput it back wards the valve inside shuts like a kazoo
