front Passenger side door will not open
Hey guys. I have a problem. I have a 1997 honda civic that my sister gave to me. The car has several problems but one problem i seem to cant find the solution is this. The front passenger side door only opens from the outside. Ppl have to always roll down the window to open it. When i open the door, I see the thee screws that surrounds the locking mechanism. But one is missing and the last two are so loose that when you close the door they slip out a little. Can I fix it myself or do i have to get the mechanic to fix it. I want to take my drivers test in it but i get docked points if the instructor cant open the door from the inside. Please help!

Re: front Passenger side door will not open
Probably the rod has come off of the inner handle. Pull the handle off and see if somethings broken. If so replace, as for the missing screws pull the door trim off and replace/retighten. If that doesn't work take it to a body shop or mechanic and let him do it for u.
edit: if its a manual window you'll have to remove the crank handle to get the trim off, if its electric you will have to disconnect and wires so don't just ****** the trim panel off
