Hi All,

I live in the UK and have just received an Invidia Carbon Fibre front Lip for My EM1 Chassis code 1999 Civic Coupe Si (we call it VTI Here) and the lip doesnt fit (its around an inch short to wrap around the bottom of the bumper)

Since this is the second lip I have tried on my coupe that has had this problem Im guessing that the bumper on the 99coupe is different to the bumer on the 99 spec hatch?? Anyone confirm this?

Also goes anyone know where I can get a Carbon Fibre "Mugen style" Lip for my coupe who will ship to the UK???

The bumper on the hatch and on the coupe is the same. You get what you pay for to be honest with you.
When dealing with "copies" it never fits right. You always end up playing with it to make it fit. To be honest with you for the money you spent on 2 lips, you could of bought an authentic Mugen lip.

The 99-00 lower bumpers are the same here in the states. (I say lower bumper because the upper grill is different depending on model) SI lips fit onto all trim levels.

Do hatches in the UK have the 96-98 front end? You can tell easiest by the upper grill size; 96-98 have a much smaller grill than the 99-00 like your SI.

Mugen dont make a genuine lip for my car.. in fact as far as I know none of the main manufacturers do. I want a carbon one like the Mugen one with the small air vents at either end. Ive seen loads of EM1coupes with them on on http://www.clubsi.com and http://www.jdmcivic.com. so theyve gotta be out there! Its just getting one!

The lip I got from the states even says 99 civic on the label! But is at least an inch too short to wrap around the Bumper????

I'm a little confused. If your car is equivalent to an SI, the Type SS Lip (Mugen) for a 4dr or a HB should fit your car with no problem.

Mugen doesn't make a CF lip. Good luck finding a CF lip that fits though

That isn't a Mugen style lip, more like Spoon style lip, and your Coupe looks pretty much like the ones over here

well thats cause my coupe was built in America!

The spoon and Mugen ones are pretty similar in design.. Spoon 100% dont make a lip for my car, ive already checked.. heres another coupe with a "Mugen style lip" although this one isnt Carbon.

Newman from jdmshit.com had a mugen style cf lip for awhile. Don't know if he still has it. Check out that site.

mugen makes the lip your looking for just not carbon fiber.

I am absolutely sure that the Type SS lip that I'm assuming you want will fit a Si. I had one on my car.
