front bumper cover removal
Any advice on taking off the front bumper cover?
I have a Haynes manual which says to remove all the fasteners across the top edge, 2 or 3 on the bottom, and one at each fender.
Anything else? Anything to watch for?
I need to remove the mount bases for old cheapo fog lights installed by PO and get access to the horn (lame) and the grill insert.

To remove the front bumper of a '96-'00 Civic:
The seven clips are actually along the top of the grille. Two are actually on the tops of teh bumper between the headlights, but the rest are on the grille itself. The grille comes off of the car WITH the front bumper.
Sometimes there is a screw in the lower corners toward the front of the car too.
Once you remove all that, walk to each side of the car and pull the bumper out of place. Then stand at the front of the bumper and pull the bumper off the car.
For your car there will probably be some wiring from the fog lights that you need to watch out for.
