How to replace front bumper
After a recent minor crash, I have to change the front bumper. I plan to replace the bumper and the broken side lamp myself. I have done minor car service (oil changes, brakes etc) myself earlier, and am confident I will be able to do the bumper work myself...with off course some help from the manuals and internet forums. If anyone on the forum has knowledge of bumper disassembly/assembly, any insights into the replacement process would help. I would also like to understand how to go about painting (or getting painted) the bumper if I decide on buying an after-market bumper.
Thanks. Jim.

well as far as bumper removal...
1. remove inner fender liners from both sides
2.remove screws holding bumper cover to fender
3. remove front bumper signal lights
use a long screwdriver to access the screws from inside the grill
4. remove 4 12mm bolts (2 on each side) holding bumper support to car, located behind bumper lights
5. lift up on bumper cover/support assy. and pull outward
you remove the bumper cover and bumper support off as one piece with can be later seperated once it is off the car...
