Friends DC turns off in the morning

So the homies engine turns off if he doesn't warm up the engine for 5 or so minutes. We checked ground, battery terminals, replaced fuel filter. Is there anything stupid that we are missing.

clean the iac valve and see if its opening like it suppose to

how does it turn off? like when it runs out of gas (no gas) or like it just shuts off (electrical)??

Say like you start to drive it from a cold start and when you come to a stop it just shuts off.

my civic does the same thing. if you get this fixed let me know so i can fix mine. does it more on cold days then warm but still happens year round.
