Default Frankenstein d-series distributor

I've got a z6 block mated to a y8 head. The motor is going in my 98 hatch with the intent of boosting it. I know I will need a p28 ecu with a obd2 to obd1 conversion jumper. My question is this: will I need the y8 distributor or will I have to buy a z6 distributor? I will also have to buy a y8 engine harness, right? (my car is a dx with a y7) Thanks for the clarification.

a) y8 dizzy

b) you can buy a harness but if you want to be cheap you can make one.

You mean add the vtec solenoid wires, right? Does anyone have a good link or guide to show me how to do this properly? ECU pinout guide?
