Default Found a del sol...good price?

hey guys, I found a 1997 del sol VTEC, factory b16 with 133k miles on it, black with good paint, and good interior, no fading or tears on body or interior. Says theres a small dent on front bumper and 1 of the blinkers dont work, also he said it could probably use new brakes. He wants 3000 for it firm....should I go for it?

I'd actually check out the car first, and make sure the engine seems healthy before "going for it", but assuming everything is in order, that seems like a reasonable price.

Agreed. Have you seen what it looks like? Seems like your just hearing about the car.

Okay... so my impression was correct. Most VTEC models I've seen have gone for about $5000.

Last night I had a dream that I had just bought a red del Sol for cheap. It had angle eye headlights (eww), but otherwise was in good condition. It even had the auxiliary lights I like so much.

I was pissed because I got it home and that night someone smashed out the rear window.

Stupid alarm clock woke me up.

Right...

He said he bought it with 4 miles on it. HE GOT THE FIVE YEAR HONDA WARRANTY (which makes me think he bought it NEW!).

He took that photo JUST A FEW DAYS AGO.

He did not buy the car just a few days ago.

Get it?

D'oh. Sorry for the confusion. Yes, it's an original owner Sol. If I bought it a couple days ago for $20K I'd need to get my head examined. Still enjoy the Sol, but it's not a spry little puppy any more. Hence the (sigh).

Wish me luck, I'm replacing all four corners with 'new' calipers, rotors, lines, master cylinder, & coilovers this weekend. So many rusty bolts...
