Flywheel resurface?!?!
Yo guys,
I'm changing my clutch tomarrow, and was wondering what you guys think about resurfacing the flywheel. My friend says not to bother, since I'm just changing it to an Exedy standard clutch...not a racing clutch or anything. Time is also an issue; and I've also heard it isn't the cheapest thing to do..anywho..thanx.

if it needs it i would, hard to explain but you can tell weather you can pass on it or not once you have it out. If it doesn't look friendly to griping your friction plate be safe and resurface.

your suppose to resurface the flywheel everytime you change the clutch unless you don't mind premature clutch wear. cheaper resurfacing a flywheel then getting a all new clutch. just my .02

resurface it. the service is only around $25 dollars or so and if you don't resurface it, the flywheel will not wear evenly with the clutch which causes a possibilty for an improper break in of the clutch.

WTF!?
Every place in my area charges $50 because the flywheels are stepped and they have to pull the pins to resurface...

It's like resurfacing the rotors when you change brakes....just do it, don't be cheap
