Default Warped flywheel

Hey guys,

What are the sign's of a warped flywheel ? I ask this because i have recently change my clutch to a 6 puck ACT and i get a judder sometimes at low speeds when pulling away just before the clutch bite. I had this judder before to with my old clutch but i always thought it was down to oil getting on the old clutch disc.

When i changed my clutch i was advised by a mechanic that there would be nothink wrong with my flywheel even you know there was a fair few little hot spots on the flywheel surface, so i left it how it was and just give it a good rub down with some glass paper.

The clutch does not slip if anyones wondering this, i just get a judder. I think it get worse the further i lock the steering to the left or right, but i could be wrong.

Thank you for your time.
Richard

you got a 6 puck clutch disk and are complaining about not having smooth engagement?

nature of the beast man.. your flywheel is probably ok.. but did your mechanic really do a clutch job without recommended at least a resurface? and who told you that you should get a 6 puck clutch for a honda? are you putting down like 600hp?

Ha ha lol, it's my first time i'v ever used one so there new to me. So is this normal for these clutches then ?

I did the clutch job at my uncles garage. When i removed the old clutch i showed a mechanic there the flywheel with the hot spots and he said he'd seen them hundred's of times before and my flywheel was fine. He said it didnt need resurfacing as it was not scored or in bad shape.

I'm turbo'd, i'm pushing 260bhp at the moment but i'm going to turn the power up to 300bhp soon. That's not the main reason i brought the clutch though, i got it for a really good price.

So, what are the symtom's of a warped flywheel ?

Thank you for your reply
