forever slow EG6

I have a 6 puck ACT clutch, and I heard rumors that they put a lot of strain on a stock flywheel, even to the point of ruining them. What are the symptoms of that? Every once in a while the car doesn't go into gear perfectly smooth sometimes not grabbing, and I don't wanna screw up the synchros. I'm wondering if the clutch could be messing up the flywheel. Thanks.
