Flywheel - clutch
Im putting a new clutch in. Its a action 2md. Do I NEED to resurface the flywheel? What happens if I dont? It was completly cleaned by a machine shop, and inspected. I was going to have them lighten and balance and resurface it, but decided not to. Thanks

Re: Flywheel - clutch (civcexcoupeblack)
its recommended to resurface the flywheel everytime you change your clutch. you need a fresh surface for the clutch disc to have contact to. its the same thing with changing your brakes, you need to turn the rotors so its a new flat surface for the brake pads to have good contact. these flywheel and rotor surfaces get warped or wornout.. so its possibility you arent getting a good contact between the clutch disc and flywheel.
