Flexplate/Torque Converter Question. HELP!!!
Ok, which side of the flex plate is the motor side/transmission side. Does the lock plate go on the crank, or the fron of the flexplate? Thanks in advance.

Re: Flexplate/Torque Converter Question. HELP!!! (PreFerio)
Ok, well, the "lock plate," otherwise known as a simple washer according to http://www.hondaautomotivepart...ERTER goes between the converter and the flexplate. Now I just need to know which side faces what. I figured it would have been on the flexplate itself saying something like "engine side" or "transmission side," but I was wrong. The ony thing on it is the honda part number, and a "Y."

it goes,
engine>flexplate>lockplate>torque converter> tranny>passenger side fender
engine>flexplate>lockplate>torque converter> tranny>passenger side fender

i dont know what a flex plate looks like but, he's asking:
the flex plate has 2 sides (im guessing the sides look different), which side of the flex plate faces the tranny and which side faces the engine? Or does it even matter?

ok... imagine the flex plate like a dish. Mount it so that the deeper part is touching the crank and the edges touch the torque converter.

I never really pay attention, but if I somehow knock it over or whatever, I look and see where the bolt heads were seated- you can see marks. But I'm pretty sure it doens't matter.
