Aftermarket parts dont raise the value of the car. Try to insure every part individually because they will not give you the value you want as a whole. Theyll compare it to a stock civic. Although 1000 is really low for stock civics, i think KBB was something like 2500.

well they keep saying that there extensive Research says that in my area that my car is worth a 1300.. so minus deductable 250 and 10% for total'ing out the car its with 920... and i gave them the paperwork showing them that the motor is new and they gave me $200 extra for the swap..lol so thats complete BS.
but they say that my car with the miles on it with a new motor would sell for about 1500 in my area. Being that every damn honda in the area is RUSTED in the 1/4's and side skirts and rear hatch. and my car doesnt have 1 bubble or spec of rust on it at all!!

a completely rust free eg hatch to insurance company is not worth all that much. KBB prices would be a good hopeful price.

On KBB in my area it states 1500 for the retail value in good condition and 1800 in excellent.
Are you trying to get them to cover the aftermarket parts or just the car as stock?
When my car was stolen I lost out on about 7,000 in parts. Got the value of the car which was 9,000.

Im just trying to get them to cover the NEW motor. which they said would A significant amount in bringing the value of the car up. so sent over the paperwork and they said that the 3000 that was spent on the motor it brought the value of the car up $200 more so im trying to fight this BS and have the car appraised by someone to say that the car is worth more than what they say it is. cause they dont go by blue blook. they go by the areas value. and in my area Rust free mint body on a 92 is very very hard to comeby
