Field SFC or Apex SAFC for modified EX
Hey all, gonna make this short and sweet.
Postin for a friend, has a 2000 Civic EX with: Cat-back exhuast, header, free-flow cat, intake, and highly modified suspension. Basically the goal is to have a tuned car for SCCA competition and the question is whether to go with the Field controller or the Apex SAFC.
Also, looks are not a factor in this determination, I dont care if "it looks cool".
I want to know what you all consider easier to use and whether it is viable to start tuning on this car with just basic bolt-ons. Thanks in advance fellas.

Re: Field SFC or Apex SAFC for modified EX (Integ_TypeT)
I'd say go with the VAFC, since a SAFC will not control your vtec and the fields controller does just vtec(i think). Then you have a unit that handles fuel maps and vtec crossover. http://www.jdmspecperf.com new $300 shipped i think. You will get some results from tuning, primarily being able to smooth out the curve around vtec.
