Default A few questions

*****EDIT -- The clutch had no response so we bled it and when that felt good we pushed it out of the garage, gave it a jump, and let it idle. It was idling fine, but all of the sudden the CEL started blinking and then it came on solid. It was in nuetral and everything. It does this every time we start it. I tried reseting the ECU, but that didnt work it came back. Any ideas? Any way to check this w/o using a scan tool?

I have a few questions for ya'll to finish up my swap (which was a big success for my first one, no CEL's!). I put a d16y8 into a catr tha had a d16y8 (replaced blown with working for resale)

1. We got the drivers side half shaft in no problem, but we cant get the passenger side half shaft to go in all fo the way. Itll go in part way, but there is like a 1/2 inch gap. We just cant get it to go in no matter what, we have tried rotating it and psuedo man stength and everything. FIXED

2. Some exhaust gasses leak out of both where the exhaust mani meet the head and where the exhaust mani hooks up to the down pipe, what should we try to fix this? Just more torque ont he bolts or what?FIXED

3. There is a little metal elbow that is connected to a coolant line but we dont have anything hooked up to it. What hooks up to it?

4. There is air coming out of the back left of valve cover, I think avacuum line is supposed to go into the hole but we dont have anything hooked up.

(looks like there is a bolt in it in the pic, that is actually in the bg there is no bolt in the hole)

5. Should we have to adjust anything with the dizzy if we set the head and block to TDC?

put the halfshaft straight on to the hole and push hard... tighten the header and dp.. the air coming out of the valve cover is okay, but if it's stock there will be like a lil part of probaly that coolant line with a black hose that hooks up to it that then goes to your intake arm... have fun. bye..

it's a half shaft man.. like i said.. it sometimes feels like it stuck no matter how hard you try.. go straight on and push it in.. are you using the same tranny as you were before? same axles? maybe if it's a new tranny then it's got fudged up teeth.. if it's the same axle then i dont what you're doing wrong..

you can also just put a tiny little filter on there, if you're getting some oil blow back at high revs.
