Failed emissions badly, is this a good solution?
HC ppm - 372 - Fail
CO % - 5.19 - Fail
NO ppm - 469 - Pass
Those are my numbers. The guy said that it is most likely because of one of the o2 sensor's. Car is a 96 civic with a 97 b16a2. Here is my plan. One 02 sensor is good, one isnt. If I convert the car to obd1, I lose the secondary o2 sensor. Then, I just use which ever ofthe two sensors are good in the primary spot. Will this work?

Re: Failed emissions badly, is this a good solution? (VTEC-DA)
In my state (Washington), I've noticed that they are starting to plug into the ecu port diagnostic thingy under the dash. I've heard that if you have a OBD2 car and convert to OBS1 the diagnostic read out will be missing a few sensors making your automatically fail the emissions test. I am not sure if you state is currently doing this or will start to do this in the near future. If your state is not then it sounds like a good alternative.

or you could find a used o2 sensor from a friend or a junkyard and use it to pass emissions.

This is what I am going to do. I just wanted to know exactly the kinda stuff aw1234dude said. Just if there were any problems connecting emissions with OBD conversions.
