Default expected 1/4 time

wassup, my friend has a 92 eg hatch and never ran it at the track.

His mods are, b18b/gsr tranny aem intake, ws catback exhaust, itr clutch and flywheel. All this is sittin in a 92 cx with no spare or power steering. He's rolling on some falken's.

I was guessing with the right tires he can hit 14.1 to 14.5 but was wondering all your opinions.

Depends on the driver and the track. He wont be hitting low 14s but he might be in the mid to high 14s.. best way to tell is to take it to the track and see.

another friend of mine ran a 14.99 in a 93 dx with b18b and i/h/e. Isn't high 14's alittle slow?

Thats my guess as well. Thats pretty much what people out here that I've personally known, do at the track. I don't trust people these days, they like to tell stories.
normally this is what I see in my area. All are on street tires.
B18b/a: 14.9-15.4
b16a: 14.6-14.9
B18c: 14.2-14.5
B18c5: 13.7-14.2
h22: 13.6-14.6

On a side note, I don't think changing trannies will help that much, especially when it does not have a VTEC motor, the tranny is designed to keep the rev's in the sweet spot of power curve. Non-vtec motors mean lower redline, bigger drop in revs when shifting, so even though the gears are shorter, their still not being used to its full potential. Any other thoughts on this? I think you'll lower your et by .1-.2 seconds with the tranny swap.
