i have a 99 civic hatchback. i have a b20 motor and it has the basic upgrades. dc sport header, skunk 2 intake manifold, cam gears, aem intake and a tanabe exhaust. it has a silencer on it and its still pretty damn loud. what can i do to stop all the noise from the exhaust?? would it still be loud if i find a stock type R exhaust and swap it out? also, what if i just change the muffler? would that help any? thanks for any input.

does it have a cat? or a resonator? i noticed exhaust's (like my past 2) don't have resonators, they get rather loud.

Change the muffler to a twin loop design...i had one on my B20 EK, sounded great and not loud

ditch and sell that exhaust. you gain no power from it, and its a cop attractant. gsr exhaust and the type r exhaust are good flowing and quiet exhausts that look tastefull too. have friends that run both and i recommend. i don't see the point in big aftermarket exhaust unless you need to move turbine trash out.
