Exhaust temperatures?
I recently purchased a Spoon N1 axleback it was for an Integra but I have Civic Coupe. It bolted right up and I love the look and sound. Heres my problem. Either the Integra is a little shorter or the Spoon B piping is a little longer because the end of my exhaust sits just under the bumper. 2" maybe lessmaybe more and it would be like the OEM muffler just sticking out enough for the exhaust gasses to go away from the car rather than hitting it. I took my car for a short drive just 5 miles with the new exhaust and I smelled some burning. I know what a burning clutch smells like and its not it. It was the back bumper. Now the back bumper didnt melt but it got hot enough to smell it from a 5 mile drive. The exhaust gasses are coming out and running past the bumper because the exhaust isnt far enough back. I like the way it looks with the exhaust tucked under a little bit you dont notice it as much and it doesnt attract attention. So how hot are the exhaust gasses coming out? I was thinking heat reflective tape or a small curved piece of metal riveted to the bumper.

Re: Exhaust temperatures?
Just got the axleback a day ago. The bumper was hot though and it smelled like burning plastic or something. I was wondering if aluminum foil would work? Sounds real ghetto but if I could make it decent at least until i find a better solution.
