First, a few quick facts:

1993 Honda Civic del Sol
Stock D16Z6
Refrigerant type: R12

I noticed this weird rattling that seems to be coming from around the header area, but only when I turn the A/C on, and sometimes when I'm taking off in first gear. My header is stock, and all heatshields are intact and aren't hitting anything. I know it can't be the heatshields because I've looked over all of them thoroughly but didn't see them rubbing against anything.

I've crawled under the car to look around but I didn't see anything odd. I then started my car (without A/C on) and looked again. And again, nothing odd. I then turned on the A/C (followed by the mystery rattle). I then crawled back under the car to look, and yet again I still didn't notice anything different other than the odd mystery rattle.

This has been going on for about a week now. Can anyone please help me?! TIA!

Only thing I can guess is when you turn on the A/C it causes your idle to drop a bit and your motor vibrates more. Somehow its hitting something or the movement is causing some things to rub together. Very tough to diagnose without looking at it though.
