Exhaust problem! Help!
Hey, I bought an Apex'i World Sport exhaust today, got ready to install it, and i realize that ALL of the flanges on the exhaust are 2 bolt, none on it to bolt up to the 3 bolt flange on the cat, there IS a 3 bolt gasket included...odd... am i missing something? Or is this product made incorrectly?
3 bolt cat flange on the car.
You can see the 2 bolt flanges on both ends of this pipe.
2 bolt flange on this pipe
other side of the 2 bolt flange
3 bolt gasket included with the kit.

What year model is this for??
I have a 97 civic ex coupe and mine looked like this....

Those were the vague shapes of the 3 pipes I had, the brakets at the end of the last pipe are the muffler. And the periods are in there for spacing, if oyu dont include them it looks messed up.
The first pipe was 3 bolt from the cat, then 2 bolt, adn the 2nd pipe was 2 bolt to the muffler, but I dont know if it is the same with the 92-95 if that is what you have. Also, your tip looks a lot shorter than mine, so i assume you have a 92-95, or at least a hatch.
Hope that helps!!

then my guess, and I am not sure if I am right, is that they sent you the pipe that connects the cat to the 2nd piece they send you from a 92-95, since they are obd1, they might have a different cat design.

thats crazy...cause my dc sport cat backcame with the 3 bolt mid pipe for the cat, and on the back end, it was a2 bolt for the axl back, did you buy it brand new from some where...if so call them cause they sent you the wrong system.

BTW, I dont know what time it is there, but my exhasut took a couple hours to install, seized bolts and other unexpected trips to the auto parts store etc.
So, unless you have done it before, I would reserve at least 4-5 hours especially if you are doing it alone.
If you have air tools, and nothing is rusted, it could be done in 1-2 hours, but I would say definatley 3 hours even if you have all that stuff, b/c you cant very well drive around with the project half done.
Good Luck!!!

it bolts directly to the header, thats why its only 2 bolts instead of three. trey had the same set up, jdm itr and the ws and it bolted right up with no room for the cat. i guess the 99-00 might be different?

John, you'll have to cut that pipe anyways so it's not a big deal. Just take it to a muffler shop and let them do their thing.
I also have the WS and it needed to be modified to fit the B swap and JDM 4-1 header.
