i was looking at some manifolds on ebay and i was wondering if a 1.6 vtev mani will fit my 1.6 non vtec. I also i noticed some of them didnt have cats built in. Is that a bad thing? Wont it throw CE lights? Also what is the differance in an header? And if i put one of those on do they also throw CE lights?

first what kind of civic do you have, i know the dx and hx have the cat in the stock mani and assuming if your looking on ebay you looking for a header(upgrade) and with that there wil be no cat, and yes it will throw a code, just invest in an O2 simulator off of ebay i did! no codes on a ex with a test pipe, but a buddy has an hx with a header and Sim. no codes

by the way ive found that all the headers are interchangable within the same series no what i dont knwo is if the piping size is different from vtec to non vtec
