Alright so i have a 1999 civic sir, looking into getting an exhaust so i get some hp gain. I was looking into a custom 2.5 piping with a high flow cat and a exhaust. How are your thoughts about the Spoon Street Muffler with magnaflow hi flow cat and custom 2.5 piping? please give your opinions thanks !

You won't get any real horsepower gains with bolt-ons.

although you wont see an incredible increase in horsepower, most people start out with a cold air intake (short ram or full) a header and an exhaust. with all this you might gain up to i would say around 9 or 10 hp depending. not alot of bang for the buck, but its a good start.

im running the Greddy SP2 piping, I cut off that cannon and had a 2.5 ES tuning straight through muffler with a stock tip welded on. Sounds great and police never pull me over.

For what you spend it is a waste. Been there. Done that. Most people do go this route but are still sow. It looks impressive when you pop the hood but that really isn't the goal now is it?

It's a Civic. It's an economy car. It's slow. It's purpose is efficiency. Not horsepower or speed. Unless you boost it or swap the engine you should start getting used to it.
