Default Excessive cranking

I have a 2000 civic DX d16y7 5spd. What would cause it to randomly crank longer before it starts. Doesnt happen often, usually when i drive for a while, park it, and start it up after a few hrs of it sitting.

Define "longer".
Then read this thread with the same issue.

Its nothing like his problem. Generally it starts up on the first engine revolution. When it doesn't its mabe two revolutions.

Doesn't sound like an issue. I wouldn't call that excessive.

Well according to your other thread you have other issues. They might be related. I still don't see an issue.

how much fuel is in the tank?? just sayin...
i have an extended crank when my fuel tank is low/close to empty and has been sitting for a very long time. turns on after second attempt. as soon as i put fuel, extended crank goes away. i usually wait until i hear the relay click when the key is turned on before cranking to prime fuel pump. i'm new to the honda world and seems like its not a issue what i'm experiencing so it doesn't bother me.

Mine cranks 2-4 times normally. I would say your car is running fine.
