Consider this too.
Are the roads smooth where you drive? azenis's are noisy and stiff. Good for perforamnce but the trade off is comfort.
Do you drive alot of miles? azenis's last, but not as long. But who can complain for the price and as long as you have good alignment I wouldint worry about it. But it still something to consider.

Ive never had es100's so I cant say much about them. es100's will probably be the tire I get when my 712's wear out. I heard that they are a tad bit quieter.

Its totally up to you.

Had both on.. Azenis if you want extreme grip, mild comfort, poor wet traction..
ES 100s for good grip, good comfort, and great wet traction.

a note, es100's(from all i've read) will wear a bit better than azenis,
but its only slightly better, considering the grip you get from azenis, you'd think they'd wear alot worse but they dont(again only from what i've read).

What will you be using these tires for? Do you autocross? Drag race?

I like my ES100's but they suck for autox IMO. The sidewall didn't seem stiff enough. Otherwise, they're a good tire for the money.

depends what youre using the tires for.

the Azenis have great grip, and nice price. they don't last long for some reason. people say bad toe/camber.

ES100's are better for street. has great grip compared to Kumho's, quiet, and the price is fair.

imma probably go with azenis, since the es100s almost cost about 2x more.

Even if azenis wear that fast, at least ill have 2 new sets instead of 1 set of es100s.

I went with the ES100's over the Azenis last week, and I'm glad I did. They handle like a dream in the rain, which is does often here. My car doesn't see much of the track, maybe once a month over the summer so I went with the better all around driving tire. But you have 14's and the price for the Azenis are great, so in your case I'd go with the Azenis, just try to avoid water.

well the es100's have a treadwear of 280 compared to the azenis's 200 so its no mystery which is going to go faster. 195-50-15 in es100s are only 56 dollars from tirerack and will last a hell of a lot longer than azenis. plus with es100s if it starts to rain you are not going to wrap your car around a tree.

ES100's . I got them and i love 'em. My buddy has some Azenis and they wear way too fast and suck in wet weather.

it all depends on what you want.

if you have a car that demands traction (like mine ), doesnt see much intense rain driving, and you like to whip around turns then get Azenis...

if your car is more of your daily driver that isnt putting down 300hp then go with the ES100's

just the things i thought about when i bought tires.

so ... if i have a prelude w/ basic bolt-ons.... get the es100 in your opinion?

if it rains a lot and you drive like an idiot in rain then get the es100's because the azenis need some TLC when it comes to standing water/heavy rain.

but why would you drive like an idiot anyways in the rain???

azenis gets my vote..

*edit ur from CALI too...AZENIS it is...

how much actual rain do we get down here...
