Default EP3 Seats in 00 Si - Pan Swap Possible?

Hi Guys,

I have found a set of EP3 seats, and was curious if I would be able to do a seat-pan swap with these seats to get them into my 00 Si without any need to cut and weld any tabs, etc... Does anyone have any ideas about how possible a pan swap is on these seats?

Thanks

Pans on the ep3 seats are welded on and aren't compatible.

You need custom made brackets to get the ep3 seats into your car.

A pan swap is not possible for these seats. Your only option is to give them to me.

Seriously, where you guys keep just "finding" these sweet seats? I want a pair for my EG pretty badly.

Ok, that explains that.. Thanks for the quick responses.

I have a follow up question, I had looked at this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1883291

and basically the solution in there was posted as "chopped off the front ep brackets and welded front ek brackets onto the ep assembly and that was it for my ek"

I have a couple questions... first of all, is this safe? I imagine as long as the welding is done properly it should be, however I have seen some people claiming certain death with welded seat rails!?

Also, a pretty noob question, but where would I go to get the welding work done? I dont know any welders in the area... (Boston area).

Thanks

Also, in that post they just welded on EK front brackets... so does that mean the rear EP3 brackets bolt into the EK/EM rear seat mounts in the floor without modification?

here's what i did to get them to fit in my ek, i'll go into further detail than the other thread.

1) chopped off the ek and ep front seating tabs
2) bolted in the chopped off ek front tabs in the front floor mounts
3) lowered the entire ep seat in. the ep rear tabs bolted into the floor with no problems.
4) tacked the ek tabs onto the ep rails
5) took out entire seat and finished welding the ek front tabs on

and voila. some minor tugging and pulling was required to get the bolts to line up, but what doesn't right? =P hope this helps...

You should start making ep3/ek custom brackets. It'd be a big money market. People would pay $100-$150 for that I'm sure.
