Engine Swap From a 94 civic 1.5 non VTECH to a 95 1.6 VTECH

Default Engine Swap From a 94 civic 1.5 non VTECH to a 95 1.6 VTECH

I have the engine swapped but I need to no what to add to the engine to get the VTECH to kick in! I also wanted to know any pointers to get max horsepower out the engine?

vtech is a phone
vtec is variable timing and lift electronic control

you have vtec

do you have any check engine lights???
are you useing the p28 ecu??

I've put in the right wiring harness and distributor for the 1.6 VTEC off a 95 Civic EX but I know I need more I'm just not sure what!

p28 ecu is the sohc vtec ecu for 92-95....ok u have the wiring harness...u really didnt need to get the whole thing but its ok. with ecu, harness, and engine it should be plug n play

Do i need the computer out of the 1.6? Or just the ecu? I know nothing about engines so i'm not sure! The guy who put it in for me never did a swap with VTEC!

the computer is also known as the ecu. You will need the P28 ecu from the 92-95 civic ex or si. If you have a manual tranny you will need the manual ecu. DAMN NOOBS!!!
