Default Engine swap??

Hi there!!

I'm new to here. I've just recently acquired a 92 CX. It has 131K miles. I've replaced the suspension with Tokiko 5 ways adjustable, Ground Control coilover, Suspesion Technique F/R sway bars, and 00 Si wheels and tires. Also upgraded the rear drums to disk brakes. So my next quest is more power!! I was just wondering what would be the best engine swap for this car? I'm debating between a H22A or a B18C. Which would be the easiest to be done? Thanks!!

B-Series is a direct bolt-up without any additional parts purchases.

You need to run like 7 wires to the ECU but aside for that the harnesses plug up if you use like a B18C1 from a DC2.

VTEC Solenoid Yellow/Green A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor Blue (passenger side harness) D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
Knock Sensor Red/Blue D3
Evap Purge Power Yellow/Black 12V power (hot in ON or START)
Evap Purge Solenoid Red A20
Secondary Intake Solenoid Pink/Blue A17

Dayum!! You guys are quick!!

I'm also leaning toward the GSR swap too, do you know any place that have detail write up about this swap? I'm planning to tackle this as my winter project (is it even possible? I did all the upgrade on the car myself). Thanks!!

any b-series motor will be no problem except for b20 vtecs and ls vtecs....h22 will be more power, but trouble with axles and understeer....i recommend b16 head with b18 block or b20 block

B-Series is a direct bolt-up without any additional parts purchases.
meaninf if you buy a complete swap
it will bolt in
you do need some diffrent parts than stock.

- Engine mounts
- Wiring mods
- Engine bay mods (using a hammer)
- Custom shifter mounting (since the H22 uses a cable-shifted tranny)

As much as I love to turbocharge. I'm gonna have to say no to any form of FI. I wanna keep this strictly NA car. Hopefully I can run low 13's with full interior. A b18C can do that, but I wanna do it with reliability. Had anyone on this board done a H22A swap??

Ok, B18C5, build it. My shop is building this same motor for their 96 DX H/B. Looking at 300hp.
