Default engine check light..

my engine check light went on just today.. umm i checked the oil and its fine.. i checked the coolant its full..


does the engine check light go on if there is no tranny fluid any more? cus theres been some fluid leakin from my tranny.. please help..

No, it does not come on for internal tranny related problems.

What kind of car is it? If its OBD1 (92-95 civic) , check this thread out...

The check engine light goes on for hundreds of reasons. To find out, you must check which code

And I don't think CEL goes on for low tranny fluid

I don't think there is a gearbox oil level sensor, but if your car falls into the years 92-00 you can see what your car is trying to tell you with a paperclip.

I dont use aim, no
some paperclips work, youd be better off to use a thin piece of wire, but yes both holes - jump the connector
